Our team has gone through many changes since the conception of iMatter. We have recently seen a change in senior team members as well as new Clinical Security Liaison Managers. iMatter has been a productive way to appreciate the positive impact within the team’s performance and morale. The questionnaire and subsequent conversations have provided staff with a chance to maximize the opportunity for dedicated time to discuss what is important to them. This allows all members of the team to feel involved in decisions, listened to and valued.
iMatter has provided space for the team to focus on how we receive and share information and through ongoing support from others within the team we have improved how we communicate with each other and the wider organisation. As a result of the feedback it was identified that the team would benefit from a protected time to share any concerns or difficulties they were experiencing. The role of a CSLM can be solitary, therefore it was recognised that this would be a positive way to support each other. As a result of these findings meetings specific to Clinical Security Liaison Managers have been arranged to facilitate ongoing support, reflective practice and continuous professional development.
Moving forward, final arrangements are in place for the commencement of the Security Governance Group. This group and its actions will report to the Risk, Finance and Performance Group allowing the team and the difficult decisions they face on a daily basis to feel valued for the contribution they make to a High Secure Forensic environment and to have a voice!
