Sharing our Team Expectations
We used a feedback board in our Ward socialisation space to enable the team to share 'What We Do Well' and 'What Could Be Even Better?'
Lots of the team shared positive feedback about how well we worked together as a team, supported each other through good shifts and hard shifts, and were able to have fun while at work.
As with lot's of wards we experience staff shortages and often have different staff from other wards, bank or agency staff in to help on shift. While we always welcome new staff into the ward, it can sometimes be difficult for staff coming in as they don't know how we work as a team on B3, what's important to us and what expectations and values have become the norm on our word to ensure we work to our best.
We felt it was important to us and would be helpful to new staff coming into the ward if we had a 'Welcome Sheet' which shared what was important to us as a team in how we worked on shift, roles, responsibilities and expectations of everyone on the ward. We hope this helps us continue to be a great team to be part of and supports new staff feel welcome and confident coming into the team.
